A Well-rounded Holistic Programme

Our Programmes

Our curriculum is thematic-based that integrates the six learning areas outlined under MOE’s Nurturing Early Learner’s Framework. In addition, the school have adopted high quality, renowned and specialised curriculums to enhance every child’s learning.

Language & Literacy

Letterland, is our literacy programme where children learn to relate letters to their sounds, putting it together in words and allowing them to gain reading and spelling skills. Our language programme is complemented with Story Grammar A Key to Learning which “develops children’s love for story, ownership of story language and a profound understanding of story structure by using visual modelling.”

Aesthetic & Creative Expression

Children are encouraged to explore with the elements of art in their art pieces. They are provided with opportunities to explore with a variety of mediums and techniques to express their ideas and feelings.

Our music curriculum from Sing Shake & Roll promotes positive and creative music and movement experiences to stimulate and enhance children’s development in terms of physical, language, cognitive and social emotional development”.

Motor Skills Development

Fostering children’s development in motor skills allows them to develop confidence and self-esteem in fulfilling their tasks with weekly Fun Start Move Smart! to promote all-round physical development”.

Numeracy

Matching, sorting, comparing, ordering, patterning, number sense and spatial awareness are some of the numeracy concepts that the children are taught. Children learn these numeracy concepts from concrete to pictorial then abstract. Construction programme is incorporated to develop mathematical concepts and language.

Discovery of the World

Our progressive thematic activities invites children to be curious thinkers through exploration. Children are encouraged to inquire and discover the answers themselves with teachers facilitating their experiences. Home science focuses on teaching basic skills about hygiene, simple food preparation and kitchen safety.

Social and Emotional Development

The school environment provides a secure space for children to express their emotions, understanding themselves and people around them. Children acquire emotional skills through daily experiences, interactions and activities in school. Through planned activities, children learn the different values and dispositions.
